Biao
Guianga Elementary School celebrated the culmination of the Reading Month on
November 25, 2011 as stipulated in the DepEd Memorandum No. 244, s. 2011. The activity was conducted
in the school’s mini gym after the flag ceremony.
The program was started with a
campus parade. Each pupil brought books as they paraded inside the school premises.
This activity aims to foster the love of reading for the school-age children. After the parade, the School Reading Coordinator conducted a
storytelling session using the Big Book from BRIGHT with the title "Ducky Duck and Her Friends".
After
the storytelling, the pupils and the teachers went back to their classrooms and
conducted different reading activities such as Team Reading, Individual
Reading, Choral Reading, and Guided Teading.
